Eamonn Farrell

I am a working photojournalist who started an arts project in 2009. Titled “Elements of Nature”, I am using the naked female form in the rural and urban landscape to deal with issues of the environment, global warming, social injustice and the on-going fallout from an economic crash, brought about by the greed and corruption of certain sections of corporate Ireland, aided and abetted by a political elite which lost touch with the people it had swore to serve.

The project is still ongoing, but at a slower pace, as it gradually reaches its conclusion. The unfinished project had a solo show in the Gallery of Photography in Dublin, and took part in group shows in the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), Dublin, and Pietrasanta in Italy. Images from the project have won awards and been published in books and magazines internationally.
